Narrative
Based on the book by the same name, the film tells the inspiring story of a 12-year-old boy who, separated from his family by a fast-moving storm, must fight to stay alive during his nine-day adventure lost in the backwoods of Maine.. Other scenes were filmed on Mount Katahdin and a replica mountaintop built in a soundstage, complete with lichen-covered granite stones, blowing wind and rain and lightning..

I walked out after a half hour
Filled with bad slow motions, mediocre acting, and nothing to keep me there on a Sunday afternoon. Id rather sit in my office watching the X feed.

One of my favorite films as a kid was The Earthling starring Ricky Schroeder as a kid lost in the Australian outback. The previews for kids films and cartoons were better than the feature!
