Growing up in the Amazon rainforest, Autumn discovers the rarest of friendships – a lost jaguar cub named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope behind and head to the unknown of New York, she dreams of returning to the rainforest and her friend for years to come. At 14, having adjusted to city life, Autumn discovers that her childhood village is under threat from animal smugglers and decides she must return to the Amazon to reunite with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s adorably clumsy biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to talk her out of this ill-advised plan. Autumn sets out with Anja to reunite with Hope and save her from those who want to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
