A local activist and a budding young mayor clash over the best solution for their poor suburb. In this second film from the director of LES MISERABLES, made in 2019, we still have Alexis Manenti and Steve Tchientcheu, but not in the same roles.
It is just an indictment of the real facts, the real tragedy
From police officer, Manenti becomes mayor, and Tchientcheu from local king becomes a full member of the town hall… This is not a drama about social crime, just a social drama, without the criminal element.
Not everyone agrees with the message of this film
The government’s immigration strategy is at the heart of this story. If you want to escape from your problems, if you want to dream, if you want to hope for the future, this film is not for you.
A very painful, emotional and disturbing ending
