Narrative
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to represent Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. Absolutely incredible – the wit, the innuendo, the humour, the characters, the 80s-era accuracy, the cast, the locations – it’s perfection in a TV show. This kind of TV has been missing for the last decade at least – it has it all – sentimentality and joy, tears of laughter and sadness, nostalgia on steroids and a cast who play their roles to perfection. I don’t have a single bad word to say about this show. Hats off to the writers, actors, crew and everyone else involved. It’s already my second time watching it because there are just too many one-liners worth remembering that you might catch the first time around. Bravo!
