Narrative
A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making a huge difference in people’s lives – including his own. From the movie "Shrinking" Share their best character-defining moments from season 1 and reveal who does the best Harrison Ford impression. he wanted a "Harrison Ford type" and went to auditions for people like Ford.
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role
Segel told Goldstein that they had to bring it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, which would spark interest from other big actors. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was excited nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023).
Harrison Ford plays Dr
Two episodes in, the show is very promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even weird… delightful in a way that most shows aren’t, just a reminder of the community from those elements. I’m not sure if this accurately portrays the therapist’s way of dealing with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel room to do his own thing.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial nature certainly shows the character Ford is dealing with. pretty well, when I think of the more menacing elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, this show fits like a glove. Sean (Luke Tennie) is way too close to playing the son character to Jimmy (Segel) as he deals with his own family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)…
And the music in this show is so good
What I see here is so vivid and the possibilities are perhaps (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigate these issues. Btw, the opening theme of this show is so good, I didn’t even skip it while watching the second episode… Overall, this has turned out to be an amazing show and I hope it continues to get better.
