The actors were well-cast and strong
In The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. Referenced in Graham Norton I like: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). Strong script, full of suspense and good storytelling.
Engaging to watch and enjoyable
Eddie Redmayne was cool, calculating and intelligent. Even though he is the supposed villain, the audience can’t help but cheer him on in this cat-and-mouse tale. The only exception was Lashana Lynch, who has no acting ability, emotions or facial expressions.
Her mannerisms were really annoying
How she got cast, I don’t know! I assume it was just another British tick in their diversity campaign. A shame because a strong female lead could have boosted this around the world.
